The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) collects and analyzes controlled substance prescription data and other scheduled chemical products through a Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).
The PDMP aims to:
- Support access to monitored substances for legitimate medical needs
- Facilitate detection and deterrence of diversion of monitored substances
- Inform public health initiatives by outlining drug trends
- Coordinate collaboration among law enforcement, prosecutors, public health officials, treatment providers, and drug courts
