Dr. Peter Brett, MD
Dr. Peter Brett is a Board Certified Medical Oncologist who has been providing full time cancer care for the people of the CNMI since May 2019. Prior to moving to Saipan, Dr. Brett worked for over 25 years as a full time oncologist in Northern California, near San Francisco. He graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine, and did his post-graduate training at Stanford and the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Michael Chen, MD
Dr. Michael Chen is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent, Adult, and Forensic Psychiatrist. He has been providing psychiatric care for the people of the CNMI since February 2020. Prior to moving to Saipan, he worked in Princeton, New Jersey. Dr. Chen graduated medical school from New York Medical College, and did his post-graduate training at the University of Rochester, University of Connecticut, and Brown University.
Dr. Elizabeth Triche, MD, MPH
Dr. Elizabeth Triche is a board certified pediatrician with a passion for working in underserved communities. She was a health Peace Corps volunteer in a rural coffee-picking village in Honduras for two years before earning her MD at Cornell University in New York. She earned a Master of Public Health degree at Sydney University as a Fulbright scholar and trained in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco through their "Pediatric Leadership for the Underserved" training program. She worked in Ethiopia for a year and a half caring for children and training Ethiopian doctors through the Baylor Global Heath Corps before joining the CHC pediatrics family on Saipan, where she has happily worked for the past 6 years.
Dr. Justin van der Meid, MD
Dr. Justin Thomas van der Meid has been serving as a mental health provider in the CNMI since June 2019. He is a father of five and is married to a local woman from Saipan. Dr. van der Meid grew up in Upstate New York where he did his medical and residency training at the University of Rochester.
