The EzWIC app is available to help our families shop for their WIC foods. Shopping for WIC foods in the grocery store can be confusing and hard, and this app makes it easier. You can view the Food List in the app to see what types of foods are WIC approved. You can also scan the barcode of a food with your phone and the app will tell you if it is WIC approved.

Nutrition Benefits and Public Charge: Effect on Immigration Status

The COVID-19 vaccine is the best way to keep our children safe. CDC recommends COVID-19 vaccines for everyone six months and older. Parents and caregivers can now get their children six months through 5 years of age vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines to better protect them from COVID-19. All children, including children who have already had COVID-19, should get vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccines are free and available to everyone at no cost. Parents or caregivers can find available vaccines at vaccinatecnmi.com or by contacting CHCC immunization at (670) 682-7468 or their healthcare provider.

WIC participants are eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) that provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers, and can enroll through a participating broadband provider or directly with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) using an online or mail in application. You can learn more about the benefit, including eligibility and enrollment information, by visiting www.fcc.gov/ACP, or by calling 877-384-2575.

Please note that because the ACP provides a discounted broadband service and/or device, rather than a direct cash benefit, ACP benefits do not count as income for WIC eligibility determination purposes [7 CFR 246.7(d)(2)(iv)(B)].
